After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Johannes Wiggers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Twijzel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Wiggers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hette van Rooijen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guus Wehkamp in the 29th minute of play forced Loet Excelsior's goalkeeper Hette van Rooijen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hub Weken to strike the kick off in the second half. Hub Weken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
