Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bjorn Smibum started the match with the kick off. Hette van Rooijen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Smibum, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Hette van Rooijen came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Overhoven Excelsior's Bjorn Smibum. But to his dismay, Bjorn Smibum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Overhoven Excelsior's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Hub Weken scored to the left of an out of position Ruud Vliet, making the score, 4-1. If Hub Weken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Harm Aalders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Johannes van Heiningen from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Ruud Vliet's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Jean-Paul Erenstein fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Overhoven Excelsior's protests and gave Jean-Paul Erenstein a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Overhoven Excelsior's Jean-Paul Erenstein got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Hub Weken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jean-Paul Erenstein was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 45 minutes had been played. In the 46th minute, Jean-Paul Erenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hub Weken was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hub Weken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Patrick Sloedingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overhoven Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Sloedingen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hette van Rooijen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the game, Hugo Ottenhof cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ruud Vliet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jens-Åke Flink kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Hub Weken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruud Vliet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes van Heiningen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harm Aalders kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Loet Excelsior's Hub Weken got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruud Vliet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hub Weken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruud Vliet came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Loet Excelsior's Kelvin Trenning. But to his dismay, Kelvin Trenning quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Loet Excelsior players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
