Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerjan van Zijp started the match with the kick off. Jan Lamberts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gido Terpstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerjan van Zijp in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Japke Blank in the 9th minute of play forced Clostridium Difficile's goalkeeper Jacques Bruin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerjan van Zijp took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gido Terpstra. Gido Terpstra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 23 minutes, Hans Tevreden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clostridium Difficile and the Deurne players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hans Tevreden kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Deurne's Remond Ravenbergen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clostridium Difficile. Jos Wielaert in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacques Bruin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jos Wielaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques Bruin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Japke Blank went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Japke Blank struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jacques Bruin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deurne. In the 37th match minute, Deurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Zuid to maneuver through the defense. Marinus Zadelhoff charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marinus Zadelhoff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Lex Hassel fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clostridium Difficile's protests and gave Lex Hassel a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Clostridium Difficile got a freekick which was hit by Lex Hassel. 49 minutes into the match, Clostridium Difficile's Gerjan van Zijp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gido Terpstra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Japke Blank stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jan Lamberts came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Clostridium Difficile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Lamberts couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes of play, Deurne's Jos Wielaert made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacques Bruin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deurne's Jos Wielaert got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Clostridium Difficile got a freekick which was hit by Lex Hassel. In the 76th minute, Hans Tevreden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jos Wielaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clostridium Difficile's Lex Hassel got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Lex Hassel off the ground. In the 86th match minute, Clostridium Difficile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lex Hassel to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Japke Blank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacques Bruin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jan Lamberts came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Clostridium Difficile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Lamberts couldn't finish the play. Jacques Bruin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Japke Blank, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Deurne's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
