Ate van Wonderen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Roelof Schiphouwer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Honselerdijk Eendracht's Auke Rodenberg. Auke Rodenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Lyesen in the 27th minute of play forced Honselerdijk Eendracht's goalkeeper Auke Rodenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Evert Bok managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honselerdijk Eendracht's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Bok was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hunzebergen Eendracht's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Evert Bok scored to the left of an out of position Niek Plescher, making the score, 1-1. In the 36th minute, Roelof Schiphouwer made a precise shot to the right of Auke Rodenberg. Honselerdijk Eendracht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of Honselerdijk Eendracht booed when Hunzebergen Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurre Pierewaaijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Evert Bok kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niek Plescher. That made the score 2-2 in the 44 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent van Rhijn to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Roelof Schiphouwer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Roelof Schiphouwer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Auke Rodenberg made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Hunzebergen Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent van Rhijn came free, but Niek Plescher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hunzebergen Eendracht's Niek Plescher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent van Rhijn in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathan Robben in the 59th minute of play forced Honselerdijk Eendracht's goalkeeper Auke Rodenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Bok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Bok in the 63rd minute of play forced Hunzebergen Eendracht's goalkeeper Niek Plescher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vincent van Rhijn came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Honselerdijk Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent van Rhijn couldn't finish the play. Tom Lyesen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Auke Rodenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent van Rhijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek Plescher having to interfere. In the 85th minute Tom Lyesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auke Rodenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Robert-Jan Kolman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niek Plescher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 96th match minute, Honselerdijk Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Valx to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
