In the 7th minute Arjan Tollenaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kleinman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stijn Schophuis might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mitchell Lyle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stijn Schophuis ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Cruquius HC's Alexander Oosting got a free kick in the 16th minute. Arjan Tollenaar charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arjan Tollenaar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hulsberg getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Arjan Tollenaar hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cruquius HC's Alexander Oosting got a free kick in the 27th minute. Mark Kleinman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arjan Tollenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjan Tollenaar in the 35th minute of play forced Cruquius HC's goalkeeper Mark Kleinman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arjan Tollenaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Kleinman having to interfere. Mark Kleinman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjan Tollenaar in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cruquius HC's Mark Kleinman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjan Tollenaar in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Arjan Tollenaar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Kleinman. Cruquius HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arjan Tollenaar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mitchell Lyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Daamen in the 62nd minute of play. Mark Kleinman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Sans in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute Arjan Tollenaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kleinman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arjan Tollenaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mark Kleinman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddy Sans scored 2-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mark Kleinman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stijn Schophuis got free with Mitchell Lyle in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roland Daamen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Robert-Jan Craandijk made a precise shot to the right of Mark Kleinman. Cruquius HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Hulsberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cruquius HC for a fine match.
