If Roland Daamen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henk Derksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Daamen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter van Zomeren kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Sebastiaan Wielens hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Henk Derksen was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Roland Daamen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roland Daamen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Cobus Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruquius HC's Mark Kleinman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cobus Sloedingen in the 24th minute of play. Cruquius HC's Hendrik Hebels shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Henk Derksen but with some difficulty. Sebastiaan Wielens charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastiaan Wielens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 38 minutes into the match, FC Mokerslag's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Daamen came free, but Henk Derksen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henk Derksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Daamen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stijn Schophuis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Henk Derksen made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cobus Sloedingen was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Cruquius HC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ryan Rijkaard hit a great ball. Cobus Sloedingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mark Kleinman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Mokerslag's Stephan Lembeck got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hendrik Hebels made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Peter van Zomeren however managed to control. In the 72nd minute, Roland Daamen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruquius HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Cobus Sloedingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Kleinman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Daamen in the 80th minute of play forced FC Mokerslag's goalkeeper Henk Derksen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Kleinman made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Cobus Sloedingen sent off a good shot on target. Cobus Sloedingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henk Derksen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stijn Schophuis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henk Derksen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stijn Schophuis in the 93rd minute of play. FC Mokerslag were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Cruquius HC to leave the ground with a draw.
