Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Coos Alberts started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match Falco Klompe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Daems skillfully saved the ball. After 4 minutes, Rein Sybering mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eede and the Elim players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Eede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rein Sybering to maneuver through the defense. Coos Alberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Daniel Daems tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coos Alberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Daems having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Cees Siemers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eede's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elim the free kick. Huib Wilmink scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Otto Kik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Huib Wilmink notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Elim's Otto Kik. Otto Kik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rein Sybering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huib Wilmink blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otto Kik having to make a save. If Cobus Bust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coos Alberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Wotte's late challenge caught a Elim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronny Wotte helped the player get up and apologised. Ronny Wotte hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Coos Alberts in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Daems prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gert Waterreus kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Daniel Daems was a little too slow when Hendrik Bekker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cobus Bust stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Eede defense, Coos Alberts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Daems. The Eede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Daems should have stopped the shot. Otto Kik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cobus Bust's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The supporters of Eede booed when Elim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Heitinga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huib Wilmink who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Otto Kik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Elim's Hendrik Bekker in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eede's goalie prevented a goal. During the 63rd minute of the match Rein Sybering completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rein Sybering a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Elim booed when Eede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rein Sybering didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hendrik Bekker took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Daems. Daniel Daems dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Daniel Daems showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hendrik Bekker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Daniel Daems made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coos Alberts in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Coos Alberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Daems saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hendrik Bekker might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Daems. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hendrik Bekker ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 77 minutes, Hendrik Bekker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik Bekker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coos Alberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Daems having to interfere. Marco Jorna hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coos Alberts in the 87th minute of play forced Eede's goalkeeper Daniel Daems to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Coos Alberts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. When Coos Alberts came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Elim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coos Alberts couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik Bekker in the 97th minute of play forced Eede's goalkeeper Daniel Daems to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Eede players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Elim.
