In the 13th minute, Jouke Lensen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jouke Lensen in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sjef Heeringa saved Monster Energy from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Monster Energy's goal looked a bit too open when Jouke Lensen came free, but Sjef Heeringa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Heuvel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacco Knops in the 22nd minute. If Marcel Westra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Monster Energy's Sjef Heeringa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christijan Kosterman in the 78th minute of play.
