Pierre van Wonderen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk-Jan Harmannus in the 7th minute of the match. If Jurjen Grol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Danny Bergman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ton de Vogt in the 12th minute. Danny Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ton de Vogt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jurjen Grol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ton de Vogt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Danny Bergman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gijsbert Degenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quick Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert Degenkamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Bergman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Dirk-Jan Harmannus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre van Wonderen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jurjen Grol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ton de Vogt got free with Danny Bergman in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pierre van Wonderen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk-Jan Harmannus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Jurjen Grol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danny Bergman. Jurjen Grol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Quick Boys booed when Vortum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan de Wolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Zwiers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danny Bergman. Vortum's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute Jurgen Stevens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre van Wonderen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Vortum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan de Wolf to maneuver through the defense. After 39 played minutes, Quick Boys's Jan Zwiers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danny Bergman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quick Boys reached it. Danny Bergman didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jurgen Stevens to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Quick Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Zwiers to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Vortum's goal looked a bit too open when Jurjen Grol came free, but Danny Bergman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes, Ton de Vogt made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vortum's Danny Bergman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Jurjen Grol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Bergman was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Jurjen Grol struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Danny Bergman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quick Boys. 79 minutes into the match, Quick Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Casper Molhoek came free, but Pierre van Wonderen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 played minutes Quick Boys got a freekick which was hit by Marinus Bergman. Jurjen Grol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Danny Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vortum's Danny Bergman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurjen Grol in the 85th minute of play. Ton de Vogt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Danny Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Ton de Vogt in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 94th match minute, Quick Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinus Bergman to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Jurjen Grol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vortum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
