To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mart Been fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Kroon having to interfere. Elbert Zeeman succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Patrick Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leendert de Winter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
