An unexpectedly hard shot by Hub Sándor in the 8th minute of play forced Steenoven's goalkeeper Martien de Jong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob van Veldhuizen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martien de Jong having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Steenoven:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Molecaten:s goal. The goalkeeper, Martien de Jong, was totally fooled by Molecaten's Hette Brandsma, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Roland Lambers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roland Lambers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Molecaten's goal looked a bit too open when Pim Stroeve came free, but Ivo Klok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pim Stroeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Pim Stroeve notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Molecaten's Ivo Klok. Ivo Klok was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31stth minute of the game Pim Stroeve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molecaten's Ivo Klok was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rudi Need might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martien de Jong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rudi Need ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hub Sándor in the 35th minute of play forced Steenoven's goalkeeper Martien de Jong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hub Sándor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Hub Sándor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martien de Jong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hub Sándor scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martien de Jong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Jacob van Veldhuizen put in a rough tackle. 63 minutes into the match, Rudi Need had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martien de Jong. Steenoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudi Need was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When Rudi Need came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Molecaten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudi Need couldn't finish the play. Molecaten's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Roland Lambers scored to the left of an out of position Ivo Klok, making the score, 3-3. Jordy van As could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ivo Klok made a huge save. Steenoven's Roland Lambers was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Steenoven's Pim Stroeve got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, Steenoven's Roland Lambers made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Klok was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steenoven's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
