Casper Bijlsma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Co Valentijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 8 minutes, Berend Schuttrup mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Respelhoek and the Ommen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Berend Schuttrup hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes of play, Respelhoek's Marinus Wagemakers made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastiaan Steffens was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute, Co Valentijn made a precise shot to the right of Casper Bijlsma. Respelhoek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Marick Aukes sped through Ommen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastiaan Steffens. Marinus Wagemakers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Sebastiaan Steffens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ommen's Frits Kooij got a free kick in the 25th minute. Sebastiaan Steffens made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Marinus Wagemakers sent off a good shot on target. If Co Valentijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Respelhoek's Gert de Jong got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sebastiaan Steffens. The supporters of Respelhoek booed when Ommen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrie Korf didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Respelhoek's Gert de Jong broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Sebastiaan Steffens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marick Aukes in the 54th minute of play. Marinus Wagemakers struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Sebastiaan Steffens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Respelhoek. Sebastiaan Steffens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marick Aukes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Respelhoek's Casper Bijlsma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Respelhoek from getting a goal against them. Respelhoek's Marick Aukes managed to work through Ommen's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Marick Aukes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Marinus Wagemakers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sebastiaan Steffens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Respelhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alwin Fokkelman to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Kelvin Nieuwendijk sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Casper Bijlsma threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Kelvin Nieuwendijk this time. Sebastiaan Steffens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marinus Wagemakers in the 78th minute of play. Frits Kooij hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Sebastiaan Steffens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marick Aukes's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Marinus Wagemakers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan Steffens having to interfere. If Marinus Wagemakers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Respelhoek had played much better football throughout.
