Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kees Stuijt got the match started through his kick off. Sebastiaan Steffens was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Eric Schiphouwer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eric Schiphouwer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kees Stuijt in the 8th minute of play forced Ommen's goalkeeper Sebastiaan Steffens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frits Kooij kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Douwe Hovenkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Douwe Hovenkamp came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pieterburen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douwe Hovenkamp couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kees Stuijt in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastiaan Steffens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Severijnse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jos Holst in the 30th minute of play. Kees Stuijt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan Steffens having to interfere. Frits Kooij kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pieterburen FC's Kees Stuijt fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Douwe Hovenkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Sebastiaan Steffens made a huge save. When Frits Kooij fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ommen's protests and gave Frits Kooij a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Ommen got a freekick which was hit by Frits Kooij. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Co Valentijn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jos Holst came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marco Severijnse could save by the left post. Marco Severijnse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jos Holst in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes, Eric Schiphouwer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pieterburen FC and the Ommen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pieterburen FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eric Schiphouwer hit a great ball. Jos Holst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 58 minutes of play, Pieterburen FC's Douwe Hovenkamp made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastiaan Steffens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastiaan Steffens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douwe Hovenkamp in the 63rd minute of the match. Jos Holst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Severijnse having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Douwe Hovenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pieterburen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Douwe Hovenkamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastiaan Steffens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eric Schiphouwer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Co Valentijn got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Douwe Hovenkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sebastiaan Steffens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kees Stuijt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ommen's Sebastiaan Steffens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douwe Hovenkamp in the 95th minute of play. If Douwe Hovenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pieterburen FC fully deserved thier win.
