Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gorce FC's Guus van der Struijk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nico-Jan van Zeggeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karel Janssens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Schoonbeek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Guus van der Struijk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Nico-Jan van Zeggeren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Karel Janssens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bertus van den Akker's late challenge caught a Gorce FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertus van den Akker helped the player get up and apologised. Nico-Jan van Zeggeren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Karel Janssens made a huge save. Westbroek HC's Nico-Jan van Zeggeren got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43rd play minutes Stefan Melis shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Hans van Dessel and just under the crossbar into goal. Hans van Dessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guus van der Struijk in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Schoonbeek to make the kick off. Chris Schoonbeek took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karel Janssens. Karel Janssens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Guus van der Struijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Melis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Hans van Dessel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Guus van der Struijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans van Dessel having to interfere. A collision led to Gorce FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jan Hendrik Steelman hit a great ball. Gorce FC's Karel Janssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Brugmans in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Gorce FC's Rik Vedder seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rik Vedder the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gorce FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rik Vedder had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Fred Brugmans struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Karel Janssens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbroek HC. Chris Schoonbeek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Karel Janssens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Melis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans van Dessel having to make a save. Leendert Werner hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Stefan Melis scored 3-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans van Dessel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rdth minute of the game Chris Schoonbeek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorce FC's Karel Janssens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Schoonbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Westbroek HC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gorce FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
