In the 23rd minute Daniel Oevermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Mueller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Mueller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arjan van Zijderveld in the 24th minute. In the 30th match minute, Telgt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerrit Arnolds to maneuver through the defense. Rudolf Ubels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Brandsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rdth minute of the game Elco Schaeffer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telgt's Rudolf Ubels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Telgt getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jurre Platvoet hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Telgt's Marcel Ottenhof seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcel Ottenhof the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Telgt protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcel Ottenhof had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Overbroek FC. Remco Willemse stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rudolf Ubels. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arjan van Zijderveld was the one to do the kick off. Henry Mueller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan van Zijderveld, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Telgt's Gerrit Arnolds got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Daniel Brandsma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telgt's Rudolf Ubels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christijan Broos might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Mueller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christijan Broos ran back to his position shaking his head. Arjan van Zijderveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudolf Ubels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elco Schaeffer in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teo Broos during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Telgt's Teo Broos got a free kick in the 83rd minute.
