Eelco Baars's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elco Siebum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Witters in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elco Siebum saved Medemblik HC from getting behind. When Wissinkhoek's Eelco Baars in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Medemblik HC's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Wissinkhoek's Robert Witters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elco Siebum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wissinkhoek's Niels-Jan Stühling got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Witters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elco Siebum having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Wissinkhoek's Eelco Baars sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elco Siebum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Robert Witters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elco Siebum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eelco Baars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corné Jaliens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Eelco Baars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elco Siebum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eelco Baars struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Elco Siebum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wissinkhoek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Witters in the 31st minute of play forced Medemblik HC's goalkeeper Elco Siebum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wissinkhoek's Robert Witters in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Medemblik HC's goalie prevented a goal. If Robert Witters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Medemblik HC's goalkeeper Elco Siebum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Eelco Baars got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eelco Baars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Elco Siebum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corné Jaliens was the one to do the kick off. Laurens Steyns hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Eelco Baars came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Wissinkhoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eelco Baars couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Wissinkhoek's Robert Witters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elco Siebum. That made the score 0-1 after 55 minutes of play. The supporters of Medemblik HC booed when Wissinkhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eelco Baars didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dirk-Jan Carels hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Karsten Arts didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Medemblik HC's Steve Pik shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Pik in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karsten Arts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eelco Baars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elco Siebum having to interfere. The supporters of Wissinkhoek booed when Medemblik HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Steyns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wessel Stok, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Medemblik HC booed when Wissinkhoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Molhoek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Medemblik HC's zone, Eelco Baars stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elco Siebum came out of the goal and Eelco Baars tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Robert Witters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medemblik HC's Elco Siebum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Robert Witters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Medemblik HC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Alex Verweijen hit a great ball. If Eelco Baars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute.
