Sjoerd Hofkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, one of FC Uiteinde:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Uiteinde:s Rob van Dartel showed great skill when he stopped Henry Soer:s penalty. In the 18th minute Sjoerd Hofkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Poelman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Alards's late challenge caught a FC Uiteinde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Alards helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Onderdijk HC's zone, Tonny Heuving stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Poelman came out of the goal and Tonny Heuving tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Soer kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Joep Wilbrink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Poelman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mart Diest, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Otto Zandee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonny Heuving fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Poelman having to interfere. The supporters of FC Uiteinde booed when Onderdijk HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Alards didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes Onderdijk HC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mart Diest who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Roger Zoetmulder heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Harald Poelman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjoerd Hofkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 62nd match minute, FC Uiteinde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roderick Vrieze to maneuver through the defense. Harald Poelman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjoerd Hofkamp in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonny Heuving in the 70th minute of play forced Onderdijk HC's goalkeeper Harald Poelman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob van Dartel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otto Aalders in the 72nd minute. After 74 minutes, Arjen van Zwam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Uiteinde and the Onderdijk HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Uiteinde getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Arjen van Zwam hit a great ball. The supporters of Onderdijk HC booed when FC Uiteinde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. FC Uiteinde's Rob van Dartel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Zandee in the 80th minute of play. Tonny Heuving fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Poelman having to interfere. Onderdijk HC's Harald Poelman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjoerd Hofkamp in the 86th minute of play. Christijan Oost hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Harald Poelman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonny Heuving in the 88th minute of the match. Rob van Dartel made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Otto Aalders sent off a good shot on target. Otto Zandee struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rob van Dartel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onderdijk HC. Otto Zandee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rob van Dartel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
