Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Wanrooy Excelsior's Eddy Pieters started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eddy Pieters received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paul Veninga came out and tried to block the shot, but Eddy Pieters slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Mario Kolman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egbert Vonk during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wanrooy Excelsior fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Peter Saarloos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Kolman in the 23rd minute of play. Paul Veninga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Pieters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Kolman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Saarloos having to interfere. After 28th play minutes Mario Kolman shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Peter Saarloos and just under the crossbar into goal. Geale Zondervan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Paul Veninga made a huge save. 35 minutes into the game, Vuilwammes's David Roeles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Saarloos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Paul Veninga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Pieters in the 41st minute of play. Egbert Vonk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Veninga. Vuilwammes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Bram Baalman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wanrooy Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vuilwammes the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Bram Baalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geale Zondervan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes Vuilwammes got a freekick which was hit by David Roeles. Paul Veninga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Pieters in the 57th minute of the match. Mario Kolman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geale Zondervan in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Veninga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eddy Pieters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddy Pieters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Veninga having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Wanrooy Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Kolman came free, but Peter Saarloos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Saarloos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Kolman, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The supporters of Wanrooy Excelsior booed when Vuilwammes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas de Vries didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Wanrooy Excelsior getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Chris Schuurman hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Vuilwammes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wanrooy Excelsior.
