Albert Meijer's late challenge caught a Invincibles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Maikel Pierewaaijer made a precise shot to the right of Dolf Weerd. Invincibles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Han Oosterman succeeded in the game's 26th minute to get real power on a long shot . Invincibles's Dolf Weerd hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! Antoon van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorn Zijlstra in the 28th minute of the match. If Chris Ruiter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Jean-Paul Bronkhorst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Invincibles's Jorn Zijlstra got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maikel Pierewaaijer to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jean-Paul Bronkhorst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antoon van der Schans was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Elco van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nederwoud's goalkeeper Antoon van der Schans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
