Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd match minute, Hegelsom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Speelman to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Hegelsom's Jurgen Mols sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Pilage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurgen Mols in the 7th minute of play forced Doetinchem Excelsior's goalkeeper David Pilage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurgen Mols recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger van den Akker made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Jan Sligter sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Taco Rooy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Pilage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Mols, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Taco Rooy made a precise shot to the right of David Pilage. Doetinchem Excelsior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Doetinchem Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Jurgen Mols came free, but David Pilage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Taco Rooy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Doetinchem Excelsior players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hegelsom were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Peter van den Hoogen was the one to do the kick off. Jurgen Mols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taco Rooy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Doetinchem Excelsior getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arjan de Winter hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Doetinchem Excelsior's goalkeeper David Pilage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jurgen Mols. Roger van den Akker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Sligter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Pilage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taco Rooy in the 71st minute of the match. Hegelsom's Taco Rooy got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Taco Rooy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Peter van den Hoogen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Roger van den Akker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Doetinchem Excelsior's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan Rein Beukers was slow to take the kick. During this time Hegelsom's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Domenik Ponk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Pilage quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. David Pilage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Rooy in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, Doetinchem Excelsior's David Pilage got control of the ball when Jurgen Mols tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jurgen Mols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pilage having to interfere.
