Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jan-Peter Kuypers took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Gorsel FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alex Holthuis hit a great ball. A hard shot by Jonathan Alberts from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Gert Huiting's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jaap Buskes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Jan-Peter Kuypers made a precise shot to the right of Fred van Zijderveld. Hoonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Hoonte's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Peter Kuypers came free, but Fred van Zijderveld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaap Buskes charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaap Buskes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gorsel FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jaap Buskes hit a great ball. Bjorn Oss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gert Huiting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Mülder kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Peter Kuypers in the 39th minute of play forced Hoonte's goalkeeper Fred van Zijderveld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daan Teuben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gorsel FC's Jan-Peter Kuypers got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hoonte getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Roland van Gaal hit a great ball. If Jan-Peter Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bjorn Oss made a kick off. When Sebastiaan Dowie fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hoonte's protests and gave Sebastiaan Dowie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Sebastiaan Dowie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Peter Kuypers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daan Teuben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fred van Zijderveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Peter Kuypers struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Fred van Zijderveld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorsel FC. Hoonte's Fred van Zijderveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Peter Kuypers in the 60th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Gorsel FC's Nigel Dol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nigel Dol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gorsel FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nigel Dol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gorsel FC! The referee gave Hoonte a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonathan Alberts, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gorsel FC's Gert Huiting. 2-1. 86 minutes into the match, Gorsel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Foeke Zaagman came free, but Gert Huiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hoonte getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Fred Mülder hit a great ball. Daan Teuben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred van Zijderveld having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bjorn Oss in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gert Huiting prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ted Jansen fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorsel FC's protests and gave Ted Jansen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gorsel FC's Ted Jansen got a free kick in the 98th minute. Foeke Zaagman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Huiting having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gorsel FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hoonte.
