After 16 played minutes Daarle got a freekick which was hit by Victor Akkerman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Ebbinge in the 18th minute of play forced Daarle's goalkeeper Oliver Daamen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes in the game, Jan Ebbinge fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oliver Daamen having to interfere. The Houston Astros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Daarle were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Ebbinge was the one to do the kick off. Jordy Westerhof could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Marick Bronkhorst made a huge save. Jordy Westerhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Marick Bronkhorst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brain Broos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Henry Thijsse, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Oliver Daamen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Ebbinge in the 68th minute of the match. Daarle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Houston Astros the free kick. 77 minutes into the game, one of Daarle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jordy Westerhof could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Marick Bronkhorst made a huge save. Oliver Daamen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
