Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benjamin Tigelaar started the match with the kick off. Sjors Harmens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Telkamp having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Brunnepe FC's goalkeeper Adriaan Drenth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Staal. After a rather tough play, Brunnepe FC's Denny Baalman got a free kick in the 10th minute. Adriaan Drenth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Tigelaar in the 17th minute of the match. Hans Staal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwin Popping's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Telkamp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Wim Koeling kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Stefan Spaan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Wim Koeling was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, one of Ajax FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erwin Popping was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erwin Popping in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Telkamp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sjors Harmens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erwin Popping in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Telkamp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sjors Harmens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Popping's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Telkamp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Sjors Harmens came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bob Telkamp could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sjors Harmens got free with Bob Telkamp in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Bart Zevenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brunnepe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax FC the free kick. 89 minutes into the match, Brunnepe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Harmsen came free, but Adriaan Drenth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sjors Harmens might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bob Telkamp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sjors Harmens ran back to his position shaking his head.
