Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Finkeburen's Sjaak de Lange started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Nieuwkuik FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dennis Tuhuteru hit a great ball. Job Adams struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Govert Hateboer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finkeburen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sjaak de Lange got free with Govert Hateboer in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Sjaak de Lange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Govert Hateboer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The free kick in the 19th minute by Sjaak de Lange was well hit, but to his irritation, it went to the left of the post instead of in the goal. After 32 minutes, Andy van Zwieten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finkeburen and the Nieuwkuik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Finkeburen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy van Zwieten to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Dennis Tuhuteru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roelof Siepel skillfully saved the ball. After 34 minutes, Michel Panter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finkeburen and the Nieuwkuik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Finkeburen got a freekick which was hit by Michel Panter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathijs Som in the 36th minute of play forced Finkeburen's goalkeeper Roelof Siepel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Nieuwkuik FC booed when Finkeburen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy van Zwieten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nieuwkuik FC's Joep Roswinkel got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Finkeburen got a freekick which was hit by Andy van Zwieten. In the 44th match minute, Finkeburen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Job Adams to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Joep Roswinkel made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nieuwkuik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sjaak de Lange came free, but Govert Hateboer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pascal Hemmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Finkeburen's Michel Panter got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Pascal Hemmen struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Govert Hateboer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finkeburen. Sjaak de Lange took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Govert Hateboer. Govert Hateboer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Pascal Hemmen struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Govert Hateboer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finkeburen. Sjaak de Lange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjaak de Lange in the 93rd minute of play forced Nieuwkuik FC's goalkeeper Govert Hateboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
