Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leendert Rijaard got the match started through his kick off. Abraham Theissen's late challenge caught a Ewer FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Theissen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ewer FC booed when Altena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Theissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Bertus Huizing sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jurjen Schoenmakers skillfully saved the ball. In the 6th minute Bertus de Boer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurjen Schoenmakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymond Sloedingen hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leendert Rijaard in the 8th minute of play forced Altena's goalkeeper Jurjen Schoenmakers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rien Krol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altena's supporters rose to their feet, but Rien Krol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk-Jan Aalst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bertus de Boer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurjen Schoenmakers having to interfere. If Izaak Steyns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute of the match Jan-Willem de Bruin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jurjen Schoenmakers skillfully saved the ball. Altena's Jurjen Schoenmakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertus de Boer in the 27th minute of play. Robin Kosterman hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jurjen Schoenmakers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertus de Boer in the 30th minute of play. Dirk Kaptein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Altena getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Raymond Sloedingen hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Edward Engbers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jurjen Schoenmakers skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, Rien Krol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dirk-Jan Aalst. The goal made the score 2-0. Rien Krol charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rien Krol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Leendert Rijaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Ewer FC's goalkeeper Dirk-Jan Aalst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henny Meulenbergh. Rien Krol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk-Jan Aalst having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 52 minutes of play, Altena's Henny Meulenbergh made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk-Jan Aalst was left in no man's land by his defense there! Altena's Jurjen Schoenmakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leendert Rijaard in the 58th minute of play. Bertus de Boer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurjen Schoenmakers having to interfere. Altena's Jurjen Schoenmakers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Altena from getting a goal against them. Raymond Sloedingen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Altena's Rien Krol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dirk-Jan Aalst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 82 minutes into the match, Henny Meulenbergh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirk-Jan Aalst. Ewer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henny Meulenbergh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Henny Meulenbergh struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dirk-Jan Aalst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altena. Ewer FC's Dirk-Jan Aalst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Kosterman in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Altena booed when Ewer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertus Huizing didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Altena were the better team. Altena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
