Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Vincent Roeles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joep Luirink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Smal's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Roeles came free, but Joep Luirink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yorrick Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Plaggenborg in the 9th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent Roeles in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joep Luirink saved Smal from getting behind. 12 minutes into the game, Lukas Ritsma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meerzicht the free kick. After a rather tough play, Smal's Lukas Ritsma got a free kick in the 12th minute. Kevin Plaggenborg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yorrick Stevens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Meerzicht's Yorrick Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Plaggenborg in the 22nd minute of play. Smal's Joep Luirink proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Smal from getting a goal against them. Gerald Spannenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Smal's goalkeeper Joep Luirink had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerald Spannenburg. Kevin Plaggenborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yorrick Stevens having to interfere. Yorrick Stevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinant Toolenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joep Luirink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Roeles in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Emile Schalkwijk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meerzicht the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Emile Schalkwijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinant Toolenaar to make the kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Kevin Plaggenborg from a close distance when the talented Yorrick Stevens managed to make a qualified save. Meerzicht's players were relieved. In the 58th minute, Vincent Roeles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joep Luirink was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Joep Luirink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Roeles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerald Spannenburg in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joep Luirink prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yorrick Stevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinant Toolenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vincent Roeles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joep Luirink having to interfere. Joep Luirink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerald Spannenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Kevin Plaggenborg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Emiel Hommes fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smal's protests and gave Emiel Hommes a yellow card for diving instead. Emiel Hommes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Joep Luirink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Roeles, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Joep Luirink came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Meerzicht's Vincent Roeles. But to his dismay, Vincent Roeles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
