Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Meerzicht's Vincent Roeles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yorrick Stevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Auke Moes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes, Arne de Jong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Giesbeek and the Meerzicht players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Giesbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne de Jong to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, Vincent Roeles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roel Klasens. Vincent Roeles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Meerzicht's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Baan came free, but Yorrick Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yorrick Stevens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Auke Moes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Gerrie Senden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meerzicht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giesbeek the free kick. Gerrie Senden hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Giesbeek's Jef Rueda tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Giesbeek's Auke Moes got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Japke Roeles hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerzicht's goalkeeper Yorrick Stevens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Jurre Euving hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Roel Klasens managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Meerzicht's Gerald Spannenburg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roel Klasens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Roeles, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arno Baan was the one to do the kick off. Yorrick Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Baan in the 52nd minute of play. Bram Ruiter hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Vincent Roeles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Roel Klasens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Meerzicht getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vincent Roeles hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Meerzicht's goalkeeper Yorrick Stevens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Auke Moes. The supporters of Giesbeek booed when Meerzicht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurre Euving didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arno Baan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yorrick Stevens came out and tried to block the shot, but Arno Baan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Werner Willemsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meerzicht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giesbeek the free kick. Werner Willemsen kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Auke Moes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arno Baan came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Giesbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arno Baan couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Auke Moes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yorrick Stevens. That made the score 2-2 in the 89 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gerald Spannenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerzicht's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Spannenburg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roel Klasens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Giesbeek players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Meerzicht from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
