Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan-Peter Hoiting kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Jan-Peter Hoiting got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Knikkerdorp S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huib van der Gun to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Huib van der Gun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by David Gerrits in the 10th minute really tested Derk Helwig's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Knikkerdorp S.V. getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alwin de Ruijter hit a great ball. Meterik FC's Henk van Asseldonk suffered a concussion in the 12th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Lucien de Jager charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucien de Jager the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Lucien de Jager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Meterik FC's David Gerrits couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Knikkerdorp S.V.. A collision led to Knikkerdorp S.V. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Huib van der Gun hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Lucien de Jager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martien Cruijff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Meterik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tjeerd de Zeeuw to maneuver through the defense. Knikkerdorp S.V.'s Adriaan Temen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Meterik FC. When Frank Bergman came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Knikkerdorp S.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Bergman couldn't finish the play. If Arne Saarloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucien de Jager in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martien Cruijff saved Meterik FC from getting behind. Tjeerd de Zeeuw charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 42nd match minute, Meterik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tjeerd de Zeeuw to maneuver through the defense. Martien Cruijff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Jelle Rijaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martien Cruijff having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucien de Jager stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arne Saarloos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derk Helwig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Saarloos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucien de Jager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martien Cruijff having to interfere. Lucien de Jager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Bergman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Martien Cruijff made a huge save. If Lucien de Jager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knikkerdorp S.V.'s Lucien de Jager got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucien de Jager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meterik FC's Martien Cruijff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Meterik FC from getting a goal against them. Frank Bergman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Martien Cruijff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 82nd minute, Arne Saarloos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meterik FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Knikkerdorp S.V.'s Derk Helwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Saarloos in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Knikkerdorp S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arne Saarloos came free, but Derk Helwig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Knikkerdorp S.V.'s Lucien de Jager in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meterik FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Meterik FC had won after a very even match.
