The referee ignored Horick Excelsior's protests and gave Ted Boschker a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Horick Excelsior getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ted Boschker hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Horick Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Terpstra came free, but Harry Zielman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horick Excelsior's Harry Zielman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie Terpstra in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Horick Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Weggemans to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC SURIBO booed when Horick Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Ranzijn didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Horick Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Ax came free, but Harry Zielman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Zielman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robbie Terpstra went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jelmer de Groot during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Koen Heijen made a kick off. Horick Excelsior's Jelmer de Groot got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC SURIBO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Horick Excelsior a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dirk Jan Ebbinge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC SURIBO's Cees Eising. 1-2. 65 minutes into the game, Oliver Alberda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Harry Zielman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Henny Struik made a precise shot to the right of Harry Zielman. Horick Excelsior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Cees Eising showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koen Heijen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Robbie Terpstra did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Harry Zielman 81 minutes into the match. Robbie Terpstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Zielman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbie Terpstra in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Zielman saved Horick Excelsior from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Oliver Alberda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harry Zielman. The goal made the score 1-6. FC SURIBO's Cees Eising played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koen Heijen in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Robbie Terpstra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC SURIBO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. FC SURIBO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
