When Gert Sibon fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asrın United's protests and gave Gert Sibon a yellow card for diving instead. Gert Sibon kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Folkert van der Werff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jelmer Zenden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Florian Cruijff fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Martien Jochemsen, passed just outside the right post. In the 24th minute, Luc van den Akker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogier Som in the 28th minute of play forced Asrın United's goalkeeper Martien Jochemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Asrın United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Johan Harding hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Luc van den Akker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jelmer Zenden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joeri Bulder having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Varseveld S.V.'s zone, Luc van den Akker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joeri Bulder came out of the goal and Luc van den Akker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florian Cruijff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Asrın United getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gert Sibon hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Joeri Bulder came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Asrın United's Jelmer Zenden. But to his dismay, Jelmer Zenden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joeri Bulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folkert van der Werff, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to Varseveld S.V. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Roland Kromkamp hit a great ball. When Johan Harding came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Asrın United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Harding couldn't finish the play. Rogier Som struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Martien Jochemsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varseveld S.V.. When Folkert van der Werff came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Asrın United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folkert van der Werff couldn't finish the play. Johan Harding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Joeri Bulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Folkert van der Werff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jelmer Zenden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asrın United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jelmer Zenden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joeri Bulder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Folkert van der Werff was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Asrın United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Joeri Bulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folkert van der Werff in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Asrın United's Gert Sibon got a free kick in the 76th minute. Florian Cruijff scored 1-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martien Jochemsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 90th minute of the match Gert Sibon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gert Sibon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st minute, Gert Sibon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johan Harding could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Joeri Bulder made a huge save.
