Peij RKSV's Reinier Schalken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Peij RKSV from getting a goal against them. Mike Damstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Kruis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinier Schalken having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Peij RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Giel Craandijk. After recieving a nice pass, Dellen's Pascall Schophuis tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Peij RKSV's Benjamin Duin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin Uebels narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Peij RKSV booed when Dellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijs Haar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Duin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edwin Uebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Duin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Gerard Borker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dellen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peij RKSV the free kick. The supporters of Peij RKSV booed when Dellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerard Borker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Elroy Denneboom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edwin Uebels showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mike Damstra was the one to do the kick off. Mike Damstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Edwin Uebels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Damstra in the 55th minute of play forced Dellen's goalkeeper Edwin Uebels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marcel Kruis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinier Schalken was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the game, Harry Bergen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peij RKSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dellen the free kick. In the 61st match minute, Peij RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Bergen to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Uebels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Damstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Benjamin Duin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Kruis might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinier Schalken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Kruis ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Dellen's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Damstra came free, but Edwin Uebels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathieu van Loo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 89 played minutes Peij RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Harry Bergen. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peij RKSV's goalkeeper Reinier Schalken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
