Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ricky Kok took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Ricky Kok who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dellen's Edwin Uebels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maarsen's Ruben Bartele got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Maarsen booed when Dellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Ruiter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Uebels acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronald Spiering. Ruben Bartele charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Bartele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 25th minute of the match Ruben Bartele completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ruben Bartele a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 25 played minutes Maarsen got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Bartele. Maarsen's Tom van der Laan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Kruis in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricky Kok during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Maarsen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Kok to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Casper Achterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Dellen's Edwin Uebels got control of the ball when Donald Korf tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dellen's Marcel Kruis in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maarsen's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Mathijs Haar's late challenge caught a Maarsen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathijs Haar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dellen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mathijs Haar hit a great ball. Donald Korf might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edwin Uebels. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donald Korf ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Maarsen's goalkeeper Tom van der Laan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Marcel Kruis came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Dellen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Kruis couldn't finish the play. Donald Korf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathijs Haar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tom van der Laan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Kruis might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom van der Laan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Kruis ran back to his position shaking his head. Maarsen's Ricky Kok got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Ricky Kok off the ground. The supporters of Dellen booed when Maarsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Kok didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maarsen's zone, Pascall Schophuis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom van der Laan came out of the goal and Pascall Schophuis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Maarsen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Herman Ruben hit a great ball. Dellen's Marcel Kruis got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marcel Kruis came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Dellen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Kruis couldn't finish the play. Mathijs Haar struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tom van der Laan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dellen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sjoerd Schmidt during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maarsen's Sjoerd Schmidt got a free kick in the 96th minute. Dellen's Pascall Schophuis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maarsen. Dellen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
