Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Joost Bergen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Brabant's supporters rose to their feet, but Joost Bergen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falco Fuchs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Real Brabant booed when Elshout was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huib Aalberts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Real Brabant's goal looked a bit too open when Geert Woering came free, but Kees Staal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Frederik Robben was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Brabant's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elshout the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Real Brabant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Robben to maneuver through the defense. Joost Bergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Fuchs having to interfere. Joost Bergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Antoon van Dongen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falco Fuchs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoon van Dongen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Real Brabant's Antoon van Dongen in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elshout's goalie prevented a goal. Falco Fuchs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoon van Dongen in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joost Bergen in the 31st minute of play forced Elshout's goalkeeper Falco Fuchs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falco Fuchs came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Brabant's Antoon van Dongen. But to his dismay, Antoon van Dongen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute Joost Bergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Fuchs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rein Lute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kees Staal having to interfere. If Geert Woering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Elshout players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Brabant were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antoon van Dongen to strike the kick off in the second half. Kees Staal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geert Woering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niek Bont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Fuchs having to interfere. Joost Bergen struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Falco Fuchs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Brabant. A collision led to Elshout getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Henk Zilverberg hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Antoon van Dongen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falco Fuchs. That made the score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. Kees Staal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rein Lute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falco Fuchs made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Joost Bergen sent off a good shot on target. After 78 played minutes Elshout got a freekick which was hit by Mart Molenaar. 84 minutes into the match, Rein Lute had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kees Staal. Real Brabant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rein Lute was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rein Lute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geert Woering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Antoon van Dongen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Fuchs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfried Ierlandt's late challenge caught a Real Brabant's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfried Ierlandt helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Elshout got a freekick which was hit by Wilfried Ierlandt. The Real Brabant supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Brabant would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
