Wognum Eendracht's Pierre de Jong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Wijker in the 9th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Bruno Haar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wognum Eendracht's Pierre de Jong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Wognum Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Haar came free, but Pierre de Jong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Jack Wijker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre de Jong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Wijker in the 29th minute of play forced Wognum Eendracht's goalkeeper Pierre de Jong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes Wognum Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Berend Panter. Arno van Zeijl took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pierre de Jong. Wognum Eendracht's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Stef Compaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stef Compaan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Heiko Hartogh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Stef Compaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacques van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leeuwstuk's Bruno Haar got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jack Wijker to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Bruno Haar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leeuwstuk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Haar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wognum Eendracht's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jack Wijker 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Heiko Hartogh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Leeuwstuk booed when Wognum Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Hooiveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jack Wijker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Dennis Geraets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leeuwstuk and the Wognum Eendracht players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leeuwstuk's Dennis Geraets got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Hartogh in the 78th minute of play forced Leeuwstuk's goalkeeper Jacques van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heiko Hartogh might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacques van der Sar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heiko Hartogh ran back to his position shaking his head. Wognum Eendracht walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
