Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Johannes de Zwaan made the kick off and thus started the match. Gerwin Post recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Brummen got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Heitinga. In the 32nd minute Jean-Paul Rijkaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie Thomasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rien Trip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Rien Trip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Foeke Temen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Veentjer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Arie Thomasse made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Rien Trip sent off a good shot on target. Jordi Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Kolkman in the 54th minute of play. Foeke Temen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fc Genemuiden's Rien Trip got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Genemuiden's zone, Ferry Kolkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordi Mik came out of the goal and Ferry Kolkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arie Thomasse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rien Trip went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Jordi Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Kolkman in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rien Trip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arie Thomasse was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Brummen's zone, Gerwin Post stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arie Thomasse came out of the goal and Gerwin Post tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rien Trip in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arie Thomasse saved Brummen from getting behind. Arie Thomasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rien Trip, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Fc Genemuiden could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brummen throughout the match.
