Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Johannes de Zwaan made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 6th minute, Foeke Temen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Scheerhoorn in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arie Thomasse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Carel Schie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute Frans Scheerhoorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie Thomasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauradorp HC's Robert de Ruijter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes de Zwaan in the 12th minute of play. If Ferry Kolkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert de Ruijter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes de Zwaan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carel Schie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Arie Thomasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frans Scheerhoorn came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Lauradorp HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frans Scheerhoorn couldn't finish the play. If Ferry Kolkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert de Ruijter was a little too slow when Johannes de Zwaan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. Foeke Temen's late challenge caught a Lauradorp HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Foeke Temen helped the player get up and apologised. Foeke Temen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Lauradorp HC's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes de Zwaan came free, but Robert de Ruijter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carel Schie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frans Scheerhoorn to strike the kick off in the second half. Carel Schie struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Arie Thomasse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lauradorp HC. A collision led to Brummen getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Foeke Temen hit a great ball. Mart Rensenbrink lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lauradorp HC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Brummen a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucas Heitinga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lauradorp HC's Robert de Ruijter. 2-0. In the 72nd match minute, Lauradorp HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Boven to maneuver through the defense. Richard de Jong kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Carel Schie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arie Thomasse having to interfere. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lauradorp HC's goalkeeper Robert de Ruijter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Brummen's zone, Carel Schie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arie Thomasse came out of the goal and Carel Schie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert de Ruijter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes de Zwaan in the 96th minute of the match. Brummen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
