Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tul's Peter Pals started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Tul booed when Castelre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Kaspers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Pals in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raymond Bogarde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Grol charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Grol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Philip Idelberger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castelre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jan Rooze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Idelberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Martin Grol made a precise shot to the right of Raymond Bogarde. Castelre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tul's Peter Pals was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Peter Pals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Bogarde having to interfere. Martin Grol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Bogarde having to make a save. 38 minutes into the game, Ralf Hoekstra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castelre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tul the free kick. In the 38th minute, one of Castelre:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Castelre. Raymond Bogarde went to the wrong direction when Gerrit Huizing was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Martin Grol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Raymond Bogarde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Castelre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain Oosterveld to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Peter Pals managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tul's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Pals was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Bogarde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Grol scored 3-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raymond Bogarde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roelof Borg made a kick off. Jan Rooze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roelof Borg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Grol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Idelberger got free with Jan Rooze in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tul's Jan Rooze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Tul from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Roelof Borg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelre's supporters rose to their feet, but Roelof Borg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Rooze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philip Idelberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roelof Borg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tul getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Geert Arend van Dijk hit a great ball. Peter Pals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Bogarde having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Pals in the 83rd minute of play forced Castelre's goalkeeper Raymond Bogarde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Pals recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Grol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Raymond Bogarde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Roelof Borg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelre's supporters rose to their feet, but Roelof Borg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Rooze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Castelre's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
