Huub Korfs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jim Rinzema in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerrit Lokin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 19 in the game by Auke Baars from a close distance when the talented Gerrit Lokin managed to make a qualified save. Zandveld's players were relieved. Zandveld's Gerrit Lokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Rinzema in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Zandveld's Gerrit Lokin got control of the ball when Auke Baars tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Jim Rinzema dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerrit Lokin, 3-0. Zandveld's Gerrit Lokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Rinzema in the 32nd minute of play. When John Iemberge fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poolland Excelsior's protests and gave John Iemberge a yellow card for diving instead. Auke Baars's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gerrit Lokin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jim Rinzema in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Rinzema made a kick off. Gerrit Lokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Rinzema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerrit Lokin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Rinzema, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zandveld's zone, Jim Rinzema stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit Lokin came out of the goal and Jim Rinzema tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Zandveld defense, Jim Rinzema kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerrit Lokin. The Zandveld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerrit Lokin should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Jim Rinzema's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerrit Lokin was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Gerrit Lokin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Rinzema in the 79th minute of the match. Jim Rinzema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Lokin having to interfere. Jim Rinzema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Auke Baars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jim Rinzema sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerrit Lokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Rinzema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerrit Lokin came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Poolland Excelsior's Auke Baars. But to his dismay, Auke Baars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Poolland Excelsior fully deserved thier win.
