Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fabian Middel made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haerst Excelsior's goalkeeper Jacob Paas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Haerst Excelsior getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Maikel Aerssen hit a great ball. A hard shot by Gerard Koning from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Rogier Wortelboer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fabian Middel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jacob Paas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Sjoerd Wesseling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haerst Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Sjoerd Wesseling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogier Wortelboer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hommerts HC's Rogier Wortelboer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foeke Deuring in the 18th minute of play. Jacob Paas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Middel in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Foeke Deuring fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rogier Wortelboer, passed just outside the right post. 29 minutes into the game, Haerst Excelsior's Sjoerd Wesseling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogier Wortelboer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After having played for 38 minutes, Abraham Hendrik de Wolf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hommerts HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Hendrik de Wolf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacob Paas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Rooy in the 39th minute of the match. Rick van Rijswijk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacob Paas. Haerst Excelsior's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sjoerd Wesseling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foeke Deuring in the 45th minute of play forced Hommerts HC's goalkeeper Rogier Wortelboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hommerts HC's Olaf Westra got a free kick in the 46th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Foeke Deuring in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogier Wortelboer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Foeke Deuring's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogier Wortelboer was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 91 minutes into the game, Abraham Hendrik de Wolf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hommerts HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haerst Excelsior the free kick.
