After a rather tough play, Szerenosy's Giovanni Meijs got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jan Zijden charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Zijden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Zijden hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, VV SMITSHOEK's Jacco Geerds ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferdinant Karelse. Ferdinant Karelse yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Jacco Geerds received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdinant Karelse came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacco Geerds slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 14th minute. Ferdinant Karelse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacco Geerds's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Jelle Groten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Witting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurjen Windmuller helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Szerenosy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurjen Windmuller to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Szerenosy's zone, Jacco Geerds stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinant Karelse came out of the goal and Jacco Geerds tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Brain Stuifzand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacco Geerds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ferdinant Karelse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinant Karelse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brain Stuifzand's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacco Geerds in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinant Karelse saved Szerenosy from getting behind. If Vítor Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Jacco Geerds managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VV SMITSHOEK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacco Geerds was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brain Stuifzand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinant Karelse having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacco Geerds in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinant Karelse saved Szerenosy from getting behind. Jan-Joost Witting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Meijs in the 46th minute of play. Jacco Geerds was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. VV SMITSHOEK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Ferdinant Karelse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacco Geerds, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, Szerenosy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Severijnse to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Brack in the 57th minute of play forced Szerenosy's goalkeeper Ferdinant Karelse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szerenosy's Ferdinant Karelse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacco Geerds in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacco Geerds in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinant Karelse saved Szerenosy from getting behind. Ferdinant Karelse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacco Geerds in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Jurgen van Zeggeren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 65 minutes, Johan Wittendorp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VV SMITSHOEK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johan Wittendorp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Johan Wittendorp came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the VV SMITSHOEK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Wittendorp couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco Geerds in the 70th minute of play forced Szerenosy's goalkeeper Ferdinant Karelse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinant Karelse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacco Geerds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brain Stuifzand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ferdinant Karelse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo de Jong kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Jacco Geerds who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szerenosy's Ferdinant Karelse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Brain Stuifzand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 played minutes Szerenosy got a freekick which was hit by Jelle Groten. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco Geerds in the 88th minute of play forced Szerenosy's goalkeeper Ferdinant Karelse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jelle Groten was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Szerenosy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 96 minutes into the match, VV SMITSHOEK's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Groten came free, but Jan-Joost Witting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VV SMITSHOEK fully deserved thier win.
