Ferdinant Karelse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Klein in the 6th minute of play. Reinier Neeskens was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jurgen van Zeggeren. Elbert van Putten was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, one of Szerenosy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Oostbeemster a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mart Bok, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Szerenosy's Ferdinant Karelse. 0-1. Oostbeemster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mart Bok in the 21st minute. Luuk de Groot made a great header on Oostbeemster's corner, it was just that Szerenosy's Ferdinant Karelse managed to reach the ball for a save. 23 minutes into the match, Szerenosy's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Klein came free, but Ferdinant Karelse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szerenosy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mart Bok was slow to take the kick. During this time Oostbeemster's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Jens Klein to score against Ferdinant Karelse in Szerenosy's goal. 0-2 after 25 minutes. 29 minutes into the match, Gijsbert Bosschaart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinant Karelse. Szerenosy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert Bosschaart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Giovanni Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mart Bok kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Giovanni Meijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Reinier Neeskens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Szerenosy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oostbeemster were winning 0-3.

The supporters of Szerenosy booed when Oostbeemster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond van Aalderen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Szerenosy got a freekick which was hit by Jan Zijden. 62 minutes in the game, Jens Klein fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ferdinant Karelse having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gijsbert Bosschaart got free with Ferdinant Karelse in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert Bosschaart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinant Karelse having to interfere. If Jens Klein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jurgen van Zeggeren fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szerenosy's protests and gave Jurgen van Zeggeren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Szerenosy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurgen van Zeggeren to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Meijs scored 1-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinier Neeskens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Jens Klein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oostbeemster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Klein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gijsbert Bosschaart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Szerenosy's Jan Zijden got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the game's 91st minute Oostbeemster's Mart Bok took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Ferdinant Karelse and thus the score was 1-4. When Gijsbert Bosschaart came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Oostbeemster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert Bosschaart couldn't finish the play.
