Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wim Jansen got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Buurtje's Marcel Boeringe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frits Berendt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Max van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Frits Berendt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jordi Bulder scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Berendt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remco Bijlsma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaap Brandsma in the 25th minute. Remco Bijlsma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wim Jansen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. If Wim Jansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Jansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Bijlsma having to interfere. If Jaap Brandsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Wim Jansen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 43 minutes into the match, Wim Jansen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Buurtje's Remco Bijlsma. Remco Bijlsma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Marcel Boeringe made the kick off in the second half. Jordi Bulder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Marcel Boeringe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buurtje's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Boeringe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Berendt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Waterkant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Driessens to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Arjen Berends had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remco Bijlsma. Buurtje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arjen Berends was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After 66 played minutes Waterkant got a freekick which was hit by Marick Hoffhuis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Jansen in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remco Bijlsma saved Buurtje from getting behind. Jaap Brandsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Bijlsma having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Jansen in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remco Bijlsma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wim Jansen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Remco Bijlsma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaap Brandsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Wim Jansen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waterkant fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 83rd minute Jordi Bulder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Berendt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remco Bijlsma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Jansen in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Buurtje's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Jansen came free, but Remco Bijlsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Max van Basten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaap Brandsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Bijlsma having to interfere. Wim Jansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Bijlsma having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Waterkant had played much better football throughout.
