The supporters of Oirschot HC booed when Varsselder HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan van Schaik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oirschot HC's Sjef van Westerop suffered a sore thigh after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. John Mulders's late challenge caught a Oirschot HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Mulders helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Oirschot HC booed when Varsselder HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Mulders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gert Strobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Dorenbosch in the 16th minute of play. Arno Ricksen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lukas Vrede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Roodenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Vrede having to interfere. Arno Ricksen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Dorenbosch in the 33rd minute of play forced Varsselder HC's goalkeeper Gert Strobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Roodenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Arno Ricksen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Oirschot HC's Lukas Vrede. Lukas Vrede was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michel Dorenbosch to strike the kick off in the second half. Gert Roodenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the game, Koen van der Leegte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oirschot HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varsselder HC the free kick. Koen van der Leegte hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Gert Roodenburg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Lukas Vrede skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gert Roodenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varsselder HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Roodenburg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukas Vrede breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 played minutes Varsselder HC got a freekick which was hit by Johan Scholte. After 64 played minutes Oirschot HC got a freekick which was hit by Jurre Cramer. If Gert Roodenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Roodenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oirschot HC's Michel Dorenbosch got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Ernst Engbers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varsselder HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oirschot HC the free kick. The supporters of Oirschot HC booed when Varsselder HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Engbers didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Menno Horring in the 85th minute really tested Lukas Vrede's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jan van Schaik hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Michel Dorenbosch came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Oirschot HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Dorenbosch couldn't finish the play. Ralph de Vries struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Gert Strobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oirschot HC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Dorenbosch in the 93rd minute of play forced Varsselder HC's goalkeeper Gert Strobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Oirschot HC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Varsselder HC's performance. The match ended with a win for Varsselder HC.
