Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matthijs Heinen started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Wilfred Langenbach could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Hans Ginneken however easily saved by the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Rheden V.V.'s goalkeeper Hans Ginneken had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfred Langenbach. After 9 minutes, Jordi Veninga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rheden V.V. and the Oirschot HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Rheden V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Jordi Veninga. Hans Ginneken came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Oirschot HC's Sjef van Westerop. But to his dismay, Sjef van Westerop quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Rheden V.V.'s Matthijs Heinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lukas Vrede made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mark Deijkers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Rheden V.V. booed when Oirschot HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koen van der Leegte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Deijkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lukas Vrede tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjef van Westerop came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hans Ginneken could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Sjef van Westerop kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hans Ginneken. That made the score 2-1 in the 42 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Dorenbosch was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthijs Heinen in the 55th minute of play forced Oirschot HC's goalkeeper Lukas Vrede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Tommie Stolte had to leave the field with a concussion. In the 58th minute, Rinus Luijpers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Deijkers in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lukas Vrede prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Oirschot HC booed when Rheden V.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordi Veninga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Ginneken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koen van der Leegte in the 71st minute of play. When Rinus Luijpers was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Sjef van Westerop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
