Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reinier Rooze started the match with the kick off. Tonnelkreek's Marcel Wolf suffered a sore thigh after 5 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 5 minutes, Kristian Tollenaar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zutfen VV and the Tonnelkreek players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zutfen VV's Kristian Tollenaar got a free kick in the 5th minute. Jim Bessing might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jelmer Ensing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jim Bessing ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 21 minutes, Jim Bessing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zutfen VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Bessing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tonnelkreek's Jelmer Ensing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Bessing in the 31st minute of play. Jelmer Ensing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Bessing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 42 minutes, Bernard Konterman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zutfen VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard Konterman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jelmer Ensing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Konterman in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jim Bessing to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Tonnelkreek's Reinier Rooze got a free kick in the 54th minute. Bernard Konterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Ensing having to interfere. Zutfen VV's Bernard Konterman got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastiaan Rolink hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Simon van Dijk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jelmer Ensing. Tonnelkreek's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Reinier Rooze was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. In the 68th minute Jim Bessing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelmer Ensing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, Zutfen VV's Bernard Konterman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jelmer Ensing was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucien Lubbers kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match Herman Lambers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toni Houwing skillfully saved the ball. Jelmer Ensing made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Bernard Konterman sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Zutfen VV getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Simon van Dijk hit a great ball. When Henry Buys fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tonnelkreek's protests and gave Henry Buys a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zutfen VV getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Rick Blank hit a great ball. The Zutfen VV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
