Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Papendijk's Hub Wesveld started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pierre van den Akker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niek Zethof having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Papendijk's zone, Berry Mol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niek Zethof came out of the goal and Berry Mol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frans Mol struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Alwin Wesseling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papendijk. Ted Bruinsma hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Niek Zethof made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berry Mol in the 13th minute. Niek Zethof came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Knegsel VV's Berry Mol. But to his dismay, Berry Mol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Frans Mol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alwin Wesseling having to interfere. Alwin Wesseling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hub Wesveld in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hub Wesveld in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alwin Wesseling saved Knegsel VV from getting behind. Berry Mol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Niek Zethof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Berry Mol got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Knegsel VV's Pierre van den Akker got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 47 minutes, Berry Mol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knegsel VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berry Mol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre van den Akker was the one to do the kick off. Hans Sloedingen kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Knegsel VV's Alwin Wesseling got control of the ball when Frans Mol tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Pierre van den Akker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pierre van den Akker came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Knegsel VV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre van den Akker couldn't finish the play. Niek Zethof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre van den Akker in the 66th minute of the match. Knegsel VV's Berry Mol got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jordy Waterreus charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordy Waterreus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Papendijk getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jordy Waterreus hit a great ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Papendijk's goalkeeper Niek Zethof, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pierre van den Akker scored 2-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niek Zethof, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andy Koekkoek kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Frans Mol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes, Barry Duin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papendijk and the Knegsel VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Papendijk's Barry Duin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Berry Mol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knegsel VV's supporters rose to their feet, but Berry Mol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niek Zethof breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Berry Mol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Pierre van den Akker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niek Zethof took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre van den Akker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Knegsel VV's Pierre van den Akker in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papendijk's goalie prevented a goal. Knegsel VV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
