Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Allard Huiting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Boertang VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allard Huiting to maneuver through the defense. When Allard Huiting came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Boertang VV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allard Huiting couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute Pierre van den Akker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi de Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hans Sloedingen fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knegsel VV's protests and gave Hans Sloedingen a yellow card for diving instead. Han de Zee was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Henry Grijp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rudi de Ridder. Boertang VV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Boertang VV getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Demy Zondervan hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Boertang VV's goal looked a bit too open when Berry Mol came free, but Rudi de Ridder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudi de Ridder came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Knegsel VV's Pierre van den Akker. But to his dismay, Pierre van den Akker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Knegsel VV were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre van den Akker was the one to do the kick off. If Allard Huiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Mike Poelman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knegsel VV and the Boertang VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Knegsel VV got a freekick which was hit by Mike Poelman. If Han de Zee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Boertang VV got a freekick which was hit by Wilfred Roordink. Rudi de Ridder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre van den Akker, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A hard shot 65 in the game by Berry Mol from a close distance when the talented Rudi de Ridder managed to make a qualified save. Boertang VV's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Pierre van den Akker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rudi de Ridder. That made the score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. Berry Mol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudi de Ridder having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Ferdinant Rinzema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boertang VV and the Knegsel VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Boertang VV getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ferdinant Rinzema hit a great ball. Knegsel VV's Alwin Wesseling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allard Huiting in the 76th minute of play. Knegsel VV's Pierre van den Akker got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierre van den Akker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Han de Zee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Han de Zee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alwin Wesseling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
