Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sjoerd van Zomeren got the match started through his kick off. If Sjoerd van Zomeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Edens's Boudewijn Fransen got a free kick in the 8th minute. Sjoerd van Zomeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo Huizing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd van Zomeren in the 17th minute of play. Sjoerd van Zomeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo Huizing having to interfere. The supporters of Duindorp booed when Edens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riemer Ewald didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rob Deijkers came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Duindorp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rob Deijkers couldn't finish the play. Timo Huizing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd van Zomeren in the 22nd minute of play. Rob Deijkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Timo Huizing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Edens getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Riemer Ewald hit a great ball. Timo Huizing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd Engbers in the 34th minute of play. Rob Deijkers took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timo Huizing. Timo Huizing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 42nd minute Rob Deijkers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Huizing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franck van der Linden placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The Edens players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Duindorp were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnold Heije was the one to do the kick off. Timo Huizing acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laurens de Cler. In the 58th minute, Duindorp's Sjoerd van Zomeren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Timo Huizing. Timo Huizing yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rob Deijkers in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timo Huizing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute of the match Timo Sterenberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timo Huizing showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 78th minute of the match Riemer Ewald completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Riemer Ewald a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Edens getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Riemer Ewald hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Rob Deijkers could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Timo Huizing however easily saved by the left post. Timo Huizing made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Rob Deijkers sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Sjoerd van Zomeren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Huizing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sjoerd van Zomeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sjoerd van Zomeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo Huizing having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duindorp's goalkeeper Martin Hulsebos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Edens fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Duindorp were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
