In the 34th minute of the match Tommie Jaliens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andy Adams skillfully saved the ball. If Cor Bartels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cor Bartels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rolf Valk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AA Bombsquad booed when Twijzel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demy Daniels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Saeijs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolf Valk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Andy Adams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjors Roewen, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the game, AA Bombsquad's Eric Saeijs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolf Valk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
