Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Philip Meurs kicked off to start the match. Heiko Klerk's late challenge caught a Zelen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heiko Klerk helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to IJpecolsga getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Heiko Klerk hit a great ball. Philip Meurs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucien Jonge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Falco de Zee fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zelen FC's protests and gave Falco de Zee a yellow card for diving instead. Falco de Zee hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Philip Meurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tjeerd Oosterveld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Meurs in the 18th minute of play. Coenraad Ronde hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Zelen FC booed when IJpecolsga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Klerk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Philip Meurs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IJpecolsga's Tjeerd Oosterveld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zelen FC's Frits Sybring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Jonge in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, IJpecolsga's goalkeeper Tjeerd Oosterveld had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Koster. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramon Lembeck to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in IJpecolsga's zone, Jack Koster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tjeerd Oosterveld came out of the goal and Jack Koster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zelen FC booed when IJpecolsga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Klerk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th match minute, IJpecolsga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coenraad Ronde to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in IJpecolsga's zone, Philip Meurs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tjeerd Oosterveld came out of the goal and Philip Meurs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Philip Meurs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zelen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Meurs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frits Sybring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Lembeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zelen FC's Coenraad Meindert got a free kick in the 68th minute. Lucien Jonge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Ramon Lembeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philip Meurs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tjeerd Oosterveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jack Koster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tjeerd Oosterveld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. If Philip Meurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ton Wijngaart hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Zelen FC's Falco de Zee tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Jack Koster made a precise shot to the right of Tjeerd Oosterveld. IJpecolsga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.
